I want to welcome you to the Glory Tabernacle Christian Center in Long Beach, California (GTCC)! We are a unique Christian church with a special message of God's inclusive love through Jesus Christ. GTCC is welcoming of everyone. We are also defined by our special ministry of sharing God's incredible love and acceptance.

Why We Worship

"Come into God’s presence with joyful songs"

The book of Psalms in the Holy Bible is a rich resource for understanding praise and worship. In Psalms 100 we are told to "Come into God’s presence with joyful songs!" Here at Glory Tabernacle GTCC musical praise is central to our congregational life. We gather together to celebrate God’s love through Jesus Christ in joyful song. [ read more ... ]

1. Why do we have this type of worship?
2. Why do we stand to sing?
3. Why do we clap our hands?
4. Why do we lift our hands?
5. Why do we have audible praise to God?
6. Why are musical instruments a part of the worship service?
7. Why do we dance before the Lord?
8. Why do we shout before the Lord?
9. Why do we lift banners in the presence of the Lord?
10. Why are we exuberant in praise?
11. Why do we sing in tongues and in English?

There is one God, eternally existent in Three Persons, God our parent-creator, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit.

In the divine inspiration and authority of the Bible as the Word of God.

In the deity of Jesus Christ, his sinless life, his crucifixion, as an atonement for our sins, and his resurrection.

We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.

In following Christ in water baptism and remember Christ in the taking of communion.

In the baptism of Holy Spirit with evidence of heavenly prayer language, the fruit of the spirit and gifts of ministry.

Church government, ministry and administration by apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers.
